Carbon 60 Antioxidant - What to Know in 2024?

The powerful Carbon 60 (C60) antioxidant has captured the attention of the scientific community since its discovery in the mid-80s. It has also been the subject of many research studies which seek to explore and understand its potential benefits and uses in the field of applied medical sciences.

That said, most people are still unfamiliar with Carbon 60 and what it can do. Be sure to keep reading as we delve into everything you need to know about the Carbon 60 antioxidant in 2024.

Carbon 60 Overview

Before anything else, let’s dive into what C60 is and why it's the number one antioxidant you need to incorporate into your health and wellness tool kit this year.

Carbon 60 is a naturally occurring molecule that was discovered by scientists Robert Curl, Harold Kroto, and Richard Smalley in 1985. This monumental discovery is what earned them the Nobel Prize in Chemistry more than a decade later in 1996 as their study gave the scientific community one of the most effective antioxidants in nature.

It is worth mentioning here that C60 gets its name from the 60 carbon atoms that comprise this particular molecule. These atoms form a hollow sphere that closely resembles a soccer ball.

Much of C60’s success as an antioxidant stems from the way its atoms are arranged. This hollow molecular structure, also sometimes described as a cage, enables Carbon 60 to absorb and donate electrons from free radicals - thus effectively neutralizing them.

What does the C60 Antioxidant Do for the Body?

People

For those unfamiliar with the meaning of antioxidants, antioxidants are naturally occurring and serve to protect your cells and tissues from damage. Free radicals, on the other hand, are unstable molecules that wreak havoc on our bodies.

Excessive free radical buildup causes a process called oxidative stress. This has been linked to adverse health which include premature aging and a long list of potentially life-threatening diseases. Needless to say, antioxidants like C60 can aid our body in combating these conditions and promote general wellness.

Interestingly, studies show that Carbon 60 is one of the most effective antioxidants that we know of. With an efficacy rate that is at least several hundred times higher than conventional antioxidants, it has been righteously dubbed as a ‘free radical sponge’ - neutralizing unstable free radical atoms at a previously unseen rate.1

Why Should You Take C60?

C60’s application as a super antioxidant has major implications when it comes to one’s health and wellness. By neutralizing toxic free radicals, C60 promotes a healthy inflammatory response and promotes a balanced immune response.

Listed here are just some of the reasons why you should seriously consider taking C60.

  • Boosts Your Energy Levels - One of the effects that people notice when they first start taking Carbon 60 antioxidants is the marked improvement in their energy levels. This is because C60 promotes mitochondrial efficiency and increases ATP production at a cellular level. They may experience a stimulating effect and better energy levels throughout the day.2
  • Neural Protection - Studies have shown that nerves can suffer from oxidative stress and overstimulation. C60 helps protect nerves from overwork and stress.3
  • Supports Healthy Immune Response - C60 helps increase white blood cell production and supports the body’s ability to heal itself naturally.4 Moreover, C60 helps optimize the body’s inflammatory response and exhibits anti-inflammatory properties.5

Promotes a Youthful Appearance - It may come as a surprise, but C60 also has cosmetic benefits. Specifically, C60 may lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.6 C60 may help protect the skin from oxidative damage caused by harmful UV rays. Moreover, studies have shown that topical use of C60 may help support hair growth and wound healing.

Is it Safe to Take Carbon 60?

C60 has been found in scientific studies to be safe at even 10,000 times the standard dose. This is because, C60 does not interfere with any of the body’s signaling molecules like other antioxidants do.7

C60 is beneficial and safe to use, provided you are consuming a high-quality C60 from a trusted C60 manufacturer. All C60 and all C60 products are not the same. Seek out C60 from a source that offers 99.99% pure, sublimated Carbon 60. Don’t settle for 99.9% or 99.95% C60, seek out the purest form of singly dissolved molecules of C60, and confirm that your C60 is human-grade and human-safe.8

The process of purifying and formulating C60 products can greatly affect their potency, quality, and effectiveness. Look for C60 that has been purified through sublimation. Sublimated C60 is produced without the use of solvents, whereas vacuum-oven baked C60 has solvents in it like toluene.

Also pay close attention to the concentration of Carbon 60 per serving. Some products may contain little to no C60 at all. Any reputable C60 company will provide third-party testing to ensure you can see, with your own eyes, evidence that their products are safe and contain the C60 that they claim it does.

Moreover, do not be fooled by marketing gimmicks - with fancy alternative names for C60, like “ESS60”, or “Super-Charged C60”. Companies that change the name of C60 are skilled marketers who are attempting to hide the toxic solvents they use in their C60.

Next, it's critical to consume C60 in healthy oil. This means avoiding C60 products made with oils that cause inflammation. For instance, seed-based oils like sunflower oil are often cleverly marketed as health products, but they are considered allergenic and can be highly inflammatory for some people. Companies will resort to using cheap, inflammatory oils to save a buck. Do not fall for these tricks. Do your research and educate yourself to ensure that you are only consuming oils that help the human body perform at its best. That said, it is best to stick to non-allergenic, easy to digest oils like organic extra virgin olive oil, organic MCT coconut oil, and organic avocado oil.

One thing has been made clear: when it is 99.99% pure, sublimated C60, in healthy organic oils, C60 is safe for human consumption.

Carbon 60 is significantly beneficial when it comes to ensuring your health and wellness. Interestingly, if you have existing medical conditions, it is still safe to take C60. This is because the C60 antioxidant does not have any adverse effects on other medications, vitamins, or supplements.

Take note, however, that there are a couple of contraindications for C60. For instance, pregnant and breastfeeding women are dissuaded from using the antioxidant as there are no known human studies conducted to account for its effects on their condition.

The other contraindication is blood thinners. C60 may help to balance your blood density, so if you take C60, you will need to work with your healthcare provider to get your blood tested more frequently.

Taking all of these into account, it is completely safe to take C60 daily. Adding C60 to your morning routine is an easy way to address oxidative stress and free radical build up while also supporting your mitochondria and cellular health.

Conclusion

If you are looking for an effective way to protect your health in 2024, then Carbon 60 is certainly worth looking into. C60’s unparalleled ability to combat free radicals and oxidative stress, not to mention the additional health benefits you may notice because of it, makes Carbon 60 a worthwhile investment in your well-being.
